Hurricanes!
Did anyone else know that there was another hurricane headed up the East coast this weekend? I didn't, but I can tell you that I've had just about enough with this hurricane business. First, a WEEK without power and then a whole weekend spent nearly drowning in the rain in Boston.
We went for a friend's wedding, which was great and got to catch up with lots of college friends. Thanks to avid blog reader Mark, Stephanie and Ellen who put us up - or maybe just put up with us!!
Unfortunatley, I didn't get to spend Friday in Boston with my camera as planned thanks to Hurricane Kyle. So the most fun photos that I got were from our 30 minutes hanging around Fenway Park before the Red Sox - Indians game on Thursday night.
I'm still booking weddings for 2009 and portraits every weekend on a regular basis, so get in touch now. If you're hoping to do holiday family photos, get booked with me by November 15!

Sarah and Mike
I met Sarah last February and Septemebr 20 seemed so far off. Even in April, when we shot their enegagement photos, their wedding was far away!
To view images from the wedding when they are posted, www.pictage.com/432715.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Yesterday, however, snunk up on me and I was surprised to find myself preparing to spend the day with Sarah & Mike, celebrating their marriage. I often have the opportunity to get to know many of the brides and grooms that I work with and it has truly been a pleasure knowing Sarah (and Mike, of course!!)
So many of their family & friends came to Columbus for their day, it is clear that they are both loved by many. Thank you, Sarah and Mike, for giving me the chance to photograph this day.
Here is a preview of their wedding...

Rhonda & Jim...finally!
The power finally came on! Despite our house being quite possibly the last in Columubs to regain power, I am pleased to say that finally I can get back to work!
Rhonda and Jim got married last Saturday, September the 13th and had a great party with all of their friends. We had lots of fun and I got some terrific images to commemorate their day. Thanks to both for sharing these important moments with me.
Without further ado

Power out!
Columbus got hit with a HUGE wind storm on Sunday afternoon, apparently remnants of Ike. Power is out all over the city, but most importantly to me, at my house.
I apologize to Rhonda, Jim and all of their friends waiting to see the slide show. I will get it up as soon as I can. Keep checking back.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out my Facebook page and my web site, www.ministerimages.com.

Karin & Joe
On Saturday, I drove up to Findlay (home of Big Ben Roethlisberger, Go Steelers!) to photograph Karin & Joe's wedding. I met Karin way back when as she is one of Jodi's best friends (see last week) and it was so cool to see her on this most important of days!
Even cooler to know that they had the unique opportunity to get married in the same church where they met! They both served in their friends' wedding and came back to be married there.
I had a great time and got some really amazing photos. What fun friends and family were there to celebrate! Thanks to everyone who I met and photographed. Here's the slideshow:

Football and weddings
This week, two very exciting things happend for me. The first, Ohio State played their first game of the season and we took our boys to their first game as young Buckeyes! As usual, we jumped the gun as they are probably too young, but we all had a blast anyway. Here's George up on C-deck...we couldn't keep Charlie still long enough for a photo!
The second, and even more exciting event, was that my very first friend when I moved to Columubs, Jodi, got married this weekend to a wonderful man, Danny, that she met while in the Peace Corps!
I was fortunate enough to get to travel up to Crystal Lake for the wedding and be the photographer. What a honor, thank you Jodi and Danny. Here is the first peek at the wedding. You can also check these images out on my Facebook page, Minister Images Photography.
Congrats Jodi & Danny!
