Julie & Thad, A Love Story

Julie & Thad were married on Saturday at Brookshire in Delaware, Ohio. We met way back in December and it was love at first sight. Well, they were already in love, obviously, but I knew right away that I wanted to shoot their wedding. They felt the same way (I think!) because they called me up later that night to book me! Awesome.

The matron of honor, Julie's sister, wrote a storybook to tell us all about Juliet and Thad-eo's love story - truly a fairy tale.

Yesterday was perfect, the dresses from Alan Ray Bridal, the flowers from Reno's, Mike from Team DJ, Brookshire, and the family style dinner provided by Two Caterers.

Don't forget the rivalry between the Bride & Groom - who wore Duke blue shoes and Tar Heels blue socks. Watch the whole slide show and you'll really see true love.

The party was awesome, topped off by some really fantastic dancing to early 90's tunes later in the reception. I was so pleased that Julie & Thad asked me to be their phootgrapher because it was so easy to see how happy they are and will be.

Many thanks and congratulations!

Mark and Brandy

This one hits close to home. Mark, my brother-in-law and friend for 11 years married Brandy, my new sister-in-law and friend this weekend. I loved how in love they were all day!

I have so much to say, but will limit it to a final congratulations to them both and a welcome to the family to Brandy.

The whole weekend was amazing thanks in large part to our families and also to the following vendors who were AMAZING:
The Safari Golf Club
Bob's Bar
The Ohio State Alumni Marching Band
Weilland's Gourmet Market
Wacked Hair Salon
The Worthington Presbyterian Church
Flowers on High
J.Liu Restaurant and Bar
56 Daze
Delicacies by Sheri
and especially, Amanda Julca who worked with me on the photography!

Thank you and enjoy the slide show!

Theresa & Andy...married!

Last weekend, I was there to see Theresa and Andy get married. The wedding took place at St. Patrick's church, downtown...arguably the most beautiful church in which I've had the pleasure of shooting a wedding!

The flowers...amazing, Bloomtastic again. The wedding gown, perfect from Saks and the bridesmaids dresses, outrageous! Theresa's mom made them and I loved every inch!

Andy kept me laughing before the ceremony being just a little camera shy, but once the festivities got started, we had a ball.

Germania, in the Brewery District, for the reception where we enjoyed music and great food. Everybody took their turn on the dance floor and several heartfelt toasts came the way of the happy couple.

Every time I spied Theresa and Andy they were gazing...clearly made for each other. Best of luck for the marriage and thanks for having me there! (Thanks to Kelly too for the referral!!)

Jenifer & Jerry got married!

August is flying by so fast, I can hardly keep up. Apologies to the couples who have yet to see thier blog post and slide show.

Jenifer & Jerry called me while I was in Phoenix over the New Year and we played lots of phone tag to get settled on their wedding date of August 8. Once I met them, I know it was going to be a special wedding.

Jen's dad had a special gift for her before the ceremony and I had time to get to know their families and friends as we prepared. Her dress was perfect and the surprise necklace from Dad and earrings from Jerry looked like they were made for the day.

Their ceremony took place at the Columbus Baptist Temple and they had a wonderful pastor sign the ceremony. Flowers from Bloomtastic were spectacular! From there we went on to Ohio Stadium and had SO much fun pretending to be the Buckeyes!!

On to the Haimerl Center for the reception. It was stunning with all of the work that the families put into decorating it. We danced the night away and had a really great time.

Jen & Jerry are two very special people who clearly will spend many days ahead happy and caring for each other. It was an honor and a pleasure to photograph their wedding. Here's the slideshow!

Pam and Jim get married.

On Saturday, Aug 1, I was fortunate enough to celebrate Pam & Jim's wedding with them. Yes, they were as cute as their namesakes on The Office!

We started at Magic Cuts in Hilliard with Pam and her bridesmaids. Had a run in with a not-so-cheerful McDonald's manager and then on to St. Margaret of Cortona for preparations and the ceremony. Pam's dress, from Wendy's Bridal, was perfect for the occasion. St. Margaret's is one beautiful church...when the light shone in during the ceremony it was like God himself was offering a blessing on Pam and Jim's marriage!!

Afterward we travelled up to Westerville to visit Pam's dad, who was unable to make it to the ceremony, then with a stroke of incredible luck we got to the Horseshoe and another wedding had cancelled their plans to go on the field, so we got to take their spot! It was awesome. There is nothing like being on the ground floor of Ohio Stadium with some true Buckeyes!! Many thanks to the limo company for getting us all over town.

On to the University Plaza hotel for a fun filled reception. The flowers, from Hilliard Floral Design, were gorgeous and held up perfectly through the whole day! The cake, from Our Cupcakery, was perfect as was the groom's cake from the night before. The DJ, Byron from Buckeye Entertainment, kept the dance floor moving all night! In fact, we even stayed later than planned because we were having so much fun!

All in all, a perfect day for these two great people. Thanks again for having me be a part of your day!!
