Alicia and Chris, rain delayed

Alicia and I went to college together at the University of Richmond - we didn't even know that we both lived in Columbus, but we able to reconnect recently via Facebook! (I looove FB - did you know? Friend me!)

I am honored that she & Chris have chosen me to photograph their wedding in October and can't wait. We spent the late afternoon in German Village (this week and last thanks to the rain!), admiring the architecture and the park. They were nervous to be photographed, but you can see that they were practically models - they did great!

As a side note, my friends from UR have been so amazingly supportive of my photography business - even those with whom I've not kept in close contact. I thank all of you - and especially Alicia, Amber and Kellee. It is beyond words to have someone fly you to another state to be the person to document their wedding and families.

Cindy & Denelle, engagement

As always, busy weekends! Cindy, Denelle, Britt (my new assistant-who rocks!) & I had a great time at Goodale Park and then over to the Frog Bear Wild Boar to take some engagement images.

These two had me laughing, especially when Cindy started giggling - it is easy to see that they were having fun too. Can't wait for their wedding in September.

Ready, set...second shoot!

This weekend, I had the great pleasure of working with another photographer to cover Megan and Josh's wedding. As always in these situations, I walked in and had connections to the bride and some of her friends! Columbus is a small world that's always getting smaller!

Regardless, I had such fun with the beautiful bride and groom who were married on the pool deck of the Columbus Renaissance Hotel and then celebrated the night at The Vault, which is a very cool reception location if you're still looking!

Megan had her flowers done by Hilliard Floral Design and her gorgeous dress was Vera Wang, from Cincinnati's Bridal and Formal.
Here are just a few of my favorites. Many thanks to both families for a fun Saturday!

I was even lucky enough to make friends with the flower girl!

I'm so looking forward to wedding season! Please feel free to leave your comments below...I'd love to hear from you regular followers!

Congratulations!

On Monday afternoon, my good friend Colleen called me with breathless news that she was going to be named President of Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. While I was congratulating her, she interrupted, "But I need a picture tonight!"

I was so flattered to have the chance to take a portrait of her for this momentous occasion in her life!

Congratulations Colleen!!

I am always available to help you document those important life moments...weddings, engagements, births, promotions. Call me!

Katie & Brian - Images from the Short North

Sunday evening, I met with Katie & Brian at the Cap in the Short North. We enjoyed checking out the scene (on a Sunday night, who knew?), the daffodils at Goodale and some Jeni's. Can't wait for the July wedding!

Engaged - Gina & Jason

I met Gina and Jason this afternoon in Uptown Westerville to take their engagement pictures.

We had a great time meandering up and down the streets. Westerville has some really interesting styling and architecture going on. I'm looking forward to the wedding in June!
